Boating isn't only for the rich and
famous -- even if you're not a Hamptonite with your own power yacht, you can
enjoy the day at sea by heading to Beaver Dam Marina and renting one of their
16- to 25-foot power motorboats. Boats come fully equipped with an arsenal of
safety equipment, radios and sun covers so you don't succumb to the glare coming
off the water. While advanced boaters will certainly have an edge (just a quick
once-over and you can take the vessel right out if you’re an ace), the marina
also welcomes inexperienced boaters by offering comprehensive lessons that cover
the boat from port to starboard.
Common sense rules are also explained, such as not operating the boat under the
influence of drugs or alcohol, not speeding in the waters, and not operating the
boat after sundown. If you fall in love with your oceanic endeavors after a day
on the waves, the marina offers seasonal leasing and multiple-day discounts.
